In Nick's younger years his father gave him his best advice that he had followed into his adulthood.
"...Whenever you feel like critizing anyone. Just remember that all the people in the world haven't had the advantages that you've had."
He always had peoples trust and burdens put on him ever since.
Nick Graduated in New York Haven in the year 1915
He met his 2nd cousin -twice removed- and her friend jordan along with Tom, Daisy's husband. -

That day they went to her apartment and had a little bit of a party.
Tom and Myrtle got into a fight, and he ended up punching her in the face and leaving her. -
Meeting Jay Gatsby
Nick always was carried away about how big and extragavent Gatsby's parties were.
He was one of the few guest who have been actually invited to his parties.
There he met "Owl eyes".
Thoughout the party he could not find Gatsby anywhere, until near the end.
By the next day, Nick soon realized how careless and rude Jordan is. Driving and her saying that she doesnt have to be careful as long as others are and keep out of her way.
