  • Baseball Game

    Danny Saunders and Reuven Malter are playing a baseball game between the Orthodox and Hasidic Jewish schools when Reuven gets hit in the eye from a baseball by Danny.
  • Hospital

    Reuven gets sent to the hospital since the baseball damaged his eye. While there is undergoes eye surgery to repair his eye. While at the hospital Reuven is visited by Danny were they decide to be friends.
  • Silence

    Reuven learns that Reb Saunders, Danny's father, is not speaking to Danny. The boys still continue to strengthen their friendship while they both are dealing with the expectations of their fathers.
  • Friendship

    Danny and Reuven keep growing their friendship despite their religious differences. Danny also introduces Reuven to his family.
  • Growing Up

    Reuven graduates from high school and starts studying to become a rabbi. Danny tell Reuven that he doesn't want to be a rabbi like his father but instead wants to pursue a career in psychology.,
  • Broken Friendship

    Reuven's dad gives a speech about how a Jewish state should be made. Reb Saunders gets enraged by this and forbids Danny to do anything that has to do with Reuven.
  • Reunited

    The conflict between if a Jewish state should exist or not if eventually resolved and Danny and Reuven become friends again. At this time they have both graduated and are about ready to pursue their jobs.
  • Conclusion

    Reuven goes over to Reb Saunders place were he tells Danny and Reuven why he has raised Danny in silence. He then goes on to say that it is ok for Danny to pursue psychology.
  • End

    Danny shaves his beard and cuts of his earlocks. He then goes and visits Reuven and his father telling him that he will continue to visit them and is leaving to Columbia to study psychology.
