Ted Bundy was born
Was born Theodore Robert Cowell to Louise Cowell at the Elizabeth Lund Home for the Unwed Mother in Burlington, Vermont. For the first several years of his life Ted thought his grandparents were his parents and his mother was his sister. 1951 Louise and Ted moved to Tacoma, Washington where Louise married Johnnie Bundy, a military cook. -

Washington State Murders
From Janurary to July of 1074 Bundy had assaulted, rapped, kidnapped, and murdered nine young female. The majority of Bundy's victim's had come from university campuses at night time when Bundy was out on the prowl. Two of his victims he took in broad daylight but he did it very secretively by asking them to help him unload a sailboat because one of his arm's was in a cast. -
Utah State Murders
Fall, 1974: Ted Bundy moved from Wasington to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend Law School. Bundy decided to change his course of action into murdering young females. But this time he dicided to target young females who were not university students, and began to lure his victims by claiming to be a police officer. As time pressed on Bundy's new approach seemed to be working as he abducted and killed three young females during October. When Bundy had tried this move in November it had failed twice. -

Colorado and Idaho Murders
Bundy had been seen by numerous eye witnesses in Utah so he decided to travel to Colorado and Idaho. He had abducted and killed four different females pretending to have a leg injury helping him load his vehicle. Another vitctim was taken just outside her hotel. Two victims were abducted from a parking lot at a ski hill. The fourth victim was just a junior high school student, she disappeared while walking home. -

Arrest and Two Escapes
August 1975 Bundy was finally arrestted for failing to stop for a police officer. When his Volkswagen Beetle was searched they found what was thought to be burglary tools: a ski mask, a crowbar, handcuffs, trash bags, and an ice pick. March 1976 Bundy was convicted of kidnapping and sentenced to 15 years in prison. In 1977, Bundy escaped while awaiting trail for one of the Utah victims. He was caught six days later, seven months after being in prison he escaped again from jail. -

Florida Rampage Leads to Final Arrest
Sfter his second escape Bundy ended up in Florida where he began another murderous rampage. In January of 1978, within a 30 minute period late one night, he brutally attacked four female students at a sorority house on the Florida State University campus. Two of his victims died after the attack, while the other two were severly injured. About a month later Bundy was finally caught. He confessed to murdering 35 young women. He was convicted and executed on January 24, 1989.
