Columbus' first voyage
Columbus sailed four times in his life. He sailed his voyage in 1492. He was looking for a route to Asia/India but instead he went to America. It was important because he found the Native Americans and he lied to the queen about finding riches and stuff. -

Cortes voyage
He sailed to Mexico for gold. He conquered the Aztecs and their leader. It was imortant because he took it personal by getting hit and they stole their horses. -

Pineda's voyage
He wanted to find a water route to the Pacific Ocean. He mapped the coast to Florida to Texas. Also made a report about exploring Texas and how bad it was. I don't know the day he set off. -

his leader was Narvaez and his goal was to search for gold. -

De Vaca voyage part 2
His group got stranded so they made a small boat to get to Cuba but then a storm hit them. About for a week they were staving in the ocean and then they got on Galveston. He was there for 8 years. The three tribes were Jumanos, Karankawas, and Coahiltecans. -

fray marcos and esteban journey
Their whole purpose to this journey was to study the land to the north evaluate. The Zunis took his life because he ignored their warnings and he walked right in expecting gifts. Fray Marcos said he saw a city of gold bigger than Mexico City. -

Corondo's Expedition
He tried looking for the 7 cities of gold (Cibola) and then later he tried looking for Quivera. Fray Marcos was his guide until herealized he was wrong and one night he disapeared. H emade a report that Texas has very harsh weather, bad Indians, and no gold, also harsh land. No expeditions for 150 years. -

Moscoso's Expedition
Moscoso's leader was De Soto. De Soto died on May 21, 1542 from fever on the banks. Mosoco had the same report as Coronado except they discovered The Mississippi River. Well actually Desoto did.
