Columbus' First Voyage
Columbus was looking for a water route to India, and when he got there he thought he was in India. He sailed off to prove that there was more parts of the world to be discovered. He came front Italy to Spain to ask King Ferdanand, and Queen Isabella for the money and equiptment to sail to India. this is a huge impact to us becuase if it was not for him, Spain might not have discovered America when they did( or Texas). -

Pineda's Voyage
Pineda was a spanish explorer who sailed along to the coast of Texas, where he mapped the coast from Florida to Texas. He also discovered the Mississippi River. if he had not mapped the coast, we would not have known about anything on the coast. it could have been listed down as something else after the years that he did. -

Cortez Voyage
Cortez was a spanish explorer who defeated and conquered the Aztec Empire along with their leader, Montezuma. This is a major impact on us now, becuase if he did not conquer the empire, the entire area would not have been how it is today, and we wouldn't be here becuase the Aztecs would be running the land. -

Devaca voyage start day
Devaca was on an exploration led by Narvez. they arrived on the coast, and walked out of recources, and in trouble. They tried to built another boat, but they were hit by a Gale, and washed ashore where the Karawnkawas nursed them back to health. the pourpose of the exploration was to go back to the coast and see what there was there. -

De Vaca discovers Texas
De Vaca discovers Texas. De vaca, after washing up on Galveston again, he travels the island, and discovers Texas. He is taken back to Spain as a prisoner for helping the indians after a few years. if he did not discover Texas, texas wouldn't even texas. -

Fray Marcos and esteban Journey
Fray Marcus and esteban go exploring texas to find gold. when they get there, they are out of luck when Fray marcus announced that he saw a city glimmering of gold, and a little larger then mexico city. This was a huge impact becuase without this remark from Fray Marcus Spain would not have returned again to see what else was there. -

Coronado's Expeditions
Coronado was looking for the golden cities that fray marcos mentioned in his last journey to texas. he was searching for Cibola, and Quivera to see if the golden cities Fray marcos said were true. if he hadn't explored the area, those areas would not be discovered when they were, and they would have been something different happening to them later on in time. -

Moscoso's Expedition
Moscoso went to explore texas to see if there was anything left fro spain. the leader was De Soto. becuase of this, they reported that there was nothing for spain. no gold no treasure, all there was there, was bad land, bad mean indians, and bad weather. becuase of this Spain did not return to Texas for 150 years.
