Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492. He Told Queen Isabella that he would go to india buy going around the world. But he did not know that america was there. The reason Queen isabella accepted this exploration is because they just got out of war. When he got to "india" The indians gave them cotton beads and other things. But that is not what christopher was looking for, he was looking for gold. Fact: Christopher Colubus is an italian that is working for spain. -

Cortez
Cortez sailed To mexico and found the aztecz and they thought he was a god, because the myth goes that a god with red hair will sail the sea. He took there resources and started fighting them. Cortez was stronger against 300 indians because of the wepons (guns). After that There was mexico city. Cortez lucked out and found alot of gold and started getting greedy. narves sxtarted to investigate and got in a fight with cortez and got his eye out. Then the governer came, and cortez had killed him. -

De vaca
De vaca Went to flordia and walked along. He had planned out that the boat will drop them off then pick them back up at about a couple miles. but unfortinatly de vaca was behind so they didnt get picked up and the boatleft them. they left behind 300 men. A storm came along when they were in boats in the sea and they got swept along to galveston. They found indians and became medical men. They escaped in the winter and headed to california. While they were there they found mexican indians. -

Esteban
When de vaca explored texas and explored, esteban came along with him. He carreid bells and told indians to hand over the women. One unfortinate day for him when they encounterd the zunies. he shouted and dangled the bells saying "hand over youre gold and women.' when he was with fray marcos looking for the seven cities of gold -

Fray marcos is a preist from spain and esteban accompanied him when he was a slave. Fray marcos was sent to make the indians christian, and helped cornado find the seven cities of gold. it was reported that fray marcos has seen a city of gold. -

De soto
De soto accoponied mosoco and found the zunies while exploring and torcherd them. They cut off there hands and feet and stretched them until they broke. They discovered the missisipi river and when desoto died they burried him and the indians thought he was a god, so unsted they threw him in the river and he was notheing but a regular person. -

Cornado
Cornado was sent to find the seven cities of gold becaus efray marcos reported that he has seen a city made of gold.Cornado explored through 5 states:Arizona, new mexico, kansas, oaklahoma and texas. He discoverd the grand canyon in arizona. He reported not to go to texas and that there was no gold. After that the spainish didnt go to texas for 150 years! cornado was true conquisdor. -
moscoso
Moscoso Went along with de soto and ended up torchering the zunies and exploring america. De soto and moscoso did not like texas and gave back the same report as cornado. No gold. Do not come to texas. After that the spanish did not come back to texas for 150 years.
