De Vaca Gets Shipwrecked
De Vaca discovered Texas but he didn't mean to. De Vaca was shipwrecked and thrown onto the shores of Galveston, Texas. De Vaca was here for eight years. -

Coronado
Coronado was looking for the seven cities of gold. He was going to find the two cities of Quivera and Cibola. This journey led to no gold and he reported that there was no gold. This was important because it made people not want to explore Texas. -

Hernanado de Soto was the leader of Moscoso's expedition. The purpose was to find gold. They discovered the Mississippi River. -
