Billy was born in Ilium, New York, as the only child of a barber. He was very funny looking as a youth and grew up to be funny looking as well. He was tall and weak and shaped like a Coca-Cola bottle. -

Billy Pilgrim has had an interesting life and having to deal with his PTSD the only way he can, by letting his imagination run wild and letting himself travel in time and be kidnapped by aliens. -
Billy gets drafted.
Billy gets drafted into WWII while he is in an optometry school student. He gets sent to Luxembourg to fight the Germans in the war. -
Time-travels
Billy first becomes "unstuck in time" long before he travels to Tralfamadore. He was a chaplain's assistant in the war and he was powerless with no friends -
Roland Weary
Billy gets separated from his group of soldiers and meets up with Roland Weary and 2 others. He doesn't have any guns or armour and Weary keeps him alive. The other 2 leave Billy and Weary and Weary beat Billy up and then they got captured by German soldiers. Weary's feet develops Gangrene and he blames Billy for it. -
Dresden is bombed.
The city of Dresden that Billy is staying at as a POW gets bombed after they were told many times that the city was safe and would never be bombed. The aftermath is so bad and everything gets destroyed completely, but somehow Billy and a few others survive the bombing inside of a meat locker with a "quartet" of guards who check out the destruction occasionally. -
The war ends.
Billy was relaxing in his coffin shaped wagon and having emotional breakdowns, just to learn that the war is finally over. Bodies were no longer laying around and Edgar Derby finally got shot for stealing the teapot. -
Billy met Eliot Rosewater.
While in the Veteran's hospital, Billy gets roomed with Eliot Rosewater, who is into reading science fiction novels by the author Kilgore Trout. He introduces Billy to him and he became a big source for where Billy's imagination came from, such as being abducted by aliens and living on the planet Tralfamadore and having a baby with a movie star. -
Billy gets married.
Billy married Valencia, whose father set Billy up with his own optometry place. He claims he only married her because she was a symptom of his disease, and he often called her fat and stupid. He probably would have married her either way because he wasn't good looking and very weak. -
Billy met Kilgore Trout.
Billy was driving his Cadillac around and comes across Kilgore Trout in an alley way with a bunch of newspaper delivery boys. He explains to Trout that he often reads his book and this surprises Trout because he didn't think anybody knew his name or read his books. Trout didn't believe he actually had a fan who read his stories. They became friends and Kilgore kept filling Billy's head with all this crazy science fiction ideas. -
Kidnapped by the Tralfamadorians.
Billy gets kidnapped by the Tralfamodorians although he knew it was coming. They treated him well and it was almost like he was in a zoo and they wanted to observe him. They also kidnapped a movie star, Montana Wildhack, and they ended up having a child together while on this planet of Billy's imagination. They taught Billy many things, such as the fact that nobody really dies. -
Billy gets into a crash.
The plane that Billy was on crashes, and everybody but Billy and the co-pilot dies. He has to undergo brain surgery and he was unconscious for a few days. He miraculously survives, but his wife dies while on the way to see him. She got into a fender bender and ripped her muffler off, which caused the car to fill with carbon monoxide and she ended up dying from it. He survives a big plane crash, but she dies from a little car accident. -
Billy dies.
Billy dies on the exact day he said he would, although he knew he was going to die because of his adventures to Tralfamadore. He knew many things about the future since he could time travel. Also, this happens to be the exact day that Dresden got bombed many years before when he was there.
