Born July 24, 1783 ,Simon Bolivar, in what is now Venezuela. He was born to a wealthy family. -
Bolivars Early life
Simon Bolivar’s dad died when he was three in 1786 and his mother died 6 years later. So his Uncle was in charge of him and provided him with tutors. One of his tutors had a Simon Rodriguez had a big impact on his life. -
Bolivars Marriage
When he was 16 he traveled to Europe to finish his education. And in 1801 he married a daughter of a Spanish nobleman. But not even a year later she died of yellow fever. -
Bolivars Promise
In 1804 when Napoleon l was reaching the end of his career he returned to Europe. In Paris, under the guidance of his friend and tutor Rodriguez signed has one of the rationalist. As he stood on the Monte Sacro in rome he promised to liberate his country. -
The young army
In March 1811 the national congress decided to draft a constitution. After a long deliberation Venezuela finally declared independence on July 5, 1811. Bolivar now entered the army for the young. -
Defeated again
Bolivar took an expeditionary force to regain Venezuela. I this he pitched six battles and on April 6, 1813 he entered Caracas. A civil war broke out and Bolivar pushed himself to extreme measures.Once again he was defeated by the Spanish. -

Then he turned to Great Britain hoping people would help. Then in 1815 he wrote a great document called ‘La carta de Jamaica ‘. It was to tell people that they are not Indians nor Europeans they are a part of each. -
Bolivar needs help
In 1815 he turned his hopes to Haiti where he was given a friendly reception as well as money and weapons. Hatiti had just freed itself from the french rule. Haiti also ave Bolivar aid when nobody would promise hi aid. -
Bolivars escape
He escaped to europe in 1830 as he arrived in the Atlantic coast he was told that his successor had been assassinated. He was devastated. So his trip to europe was canceled. -
Bolivars death
He also freed New Granada, Peru, and Bolivia a city that they named after him. Then in 1827 a big civil war broke out. Bolivar ran away to England where he died in 1830 from tuberculosis. He is also known by the name of " The Liberator
