    Eric Lindros played with the St. Michael's Buzzer during his first professional season, in the Metro Junior "A" Hockey League. He was a power forward and became nationally famous for both his scoring feats and his ability to physically dominate players older than himself. He later moved up to the OHL, played for the Oshawa Generals, and soon became the most highly valued amateur player in North America. He was often called "The Next One", a reference to Wayne Gretzky's nickname "The Great One."

    On June 22, 1991, Eric Lindros was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques as the 1st-overall pick in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. However, he did not want want to play for them, and was soon traded to the Philadelphia Flyers. He also participated in the 1992 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal with Canada. In 126 games with the Flyers he acquired an impressive 172 points. As a result of his success, people across North America became aware of his potential.

    During the 1995-1996 NHL season, Eric Lindros reached his peak. He acquired an astonishing 115 points in 73 games as the team's captain! He won the Hart Memorial Trophy. The line he played on was known as the "Legion Of Doom." Later in 1997, he led the Flyers to the Stanley Cup Finals.

    On August 20, 2001, Eric Lindros was traded to the New York Rangers. After this, his performance began to decline and his fame decreased dramatically. In the 2002-2003 season, he had only 53 points in 81 games. From here, things only continued to get worse.

    On August 11, 2005, Eric Lindros was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, on July 17, 2006, after an unsuccessful season, he was traded to the Dallas Stars. After playing there for one year and only acquiring 26 points during this period, he had to decide whether or not to continue his career. Unfortunately, Eric Lindros decided to end his career and announced his retirement on November 8, 2007, at the age of 34.
