King of Thebes
After marrying Jocasta, Oedipus becomes the King of Thebes. He soon finds out from the Oracle that Thebes is under a curse, causing a plague and mass dying. -

Solving the Suffering
It is learned that the suffering of Thebes was caused by an unsolved murder. Oedipus vows to find the murderer and bring him to justice to end the mass dying. Oedipus seeks help from the blind Tiresias. -

Truth Comes Out
Oedipus is told by Tiresias that the murderer is him. He doesn't believe it at first until he is also told that the man was killed where three roads meet. Oedipus then realizes what he had done. -

Connecting the Dots
The messenger is found out to be the shepherd who found Oedipus abandoned on the mountainside and Jocasta reveals what she did with her son. Everything starts to make sense. After realizing her fate, Jocasta hangs herself of grief and Oedipus pokes his eyes out. -

Oedipus Exiled
Oedipus is then exiled to a city outside of Thebes.
