James(18) leaves home after high school and decides to move in with his girlfriend to help with the rent and also to be independent.. He gets a job but is still not satisfy. He is also unsure if he loves his girlfriend or not. This is the Identity Exploration in Erik Erikson's Theory of Psychosocial development. -

James is 30 years old now and has found the career that he loves. James lives alone now. He has been with several women now but his worried that he wont find a partner to be his wife. He is afraid that he might end up being single for the rest of his life. -

Generativity vs Stagnation.
James is now a successful Dr with his own practice. He has found a woman whom he marries and had 2 children. James is also a member of several charitable organization. James is content with life now and his goals is to be a productive member of his community and supporting his family. This is the Generativity stage in Erikson's Theory of Psychosocial
