    The Declaration of Independence led to the American Revolution. Slavery was already an issue which probably contributed to the formation of the Confederate States of America leading to the Civil War.

    The Constitution is what set up our Government. I think it's important because its how we live to this very day except at that time females still could not vote, but over the years it changed.

    Proposed by joint resolution of Congress and came into effect as Constitutional Amendments through the process of ratification by three-fourths of the states.This is what we live by day to day. It is important because if no one went by it this place would be so chaotic. This also protects the people's rights.
