Chester was sexually abusded by a male friend when he was seven and continuted until he was about thirteen. To comfort himself he got into poetry and song writing. Chester says in his interveiws, "I was scared to tell anyone about this,I didn't want them to think I was gay or lying." -
Chesters parents divorce
Chester was eleven when his parents got a divorce, his dad had full rights of him at this time and he didn't take it easliy. To cope he started to get into drug abude with marijuana, alcohol and cocaine. -
Chester moved in with his mother
At age seventeen Chester moved in with his mother, she had hepled him cope with his drug abuse and that helped him get more serious with his music . Although he had trouble findind a band he was able to sing in. -
Grey Daze
Chester's first band was Grey Daze he was about eighteen, Chester was in the band for about a year but the band had trouble signing on record deals. When he left he had trouble findind another and had almost lost hope for his music. -

Chester got married to his first wife at age twenty, her name is Samantha Bennington. They were married until 2005 and had one kid together. -

Chester got married to his second wife in 2005 really close after his divorce with his first wife, Samantha. Her name is Talinda Bennington, they have been married ever since and have one kid together. -
