Kidnapped
A week after George Carver was born he was kidnapped by raiders. He's sister and mother were taken as well. They were then taken to Kentucky to be sold. He was later located and returned to the Carvers.

After getting accepted to Highland College in Highland, Kansas, he was latter dined. He was dined because the administrators learned of his race. -
College
Carver graduated from Iowa state college, majoring in agriculture. Originally he was at Simpson mooring in art, but a teacher convinced him to switch. He was the first black student at Iowa state college.

Tuskegee Institute
After graduation Carver took a job wth Booker t. Washington at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. There he helped Poor farmers change how they farmed.

Experiment revealed
After the boll weevil had almost ruined cotton growers Carver revealed his experiments to everyone. That caused people to begin to follow his experiments, allowing the soil to be renewed.

Speech
Carver gave a speech to the new Peanut Growers Association of America. That helped pass a law protecting industries from imported crops. This got him named speaker for the United States Commission on Interracial Cooperation.

Carver Refuses
In 1931 Carver was invited to superintend the cotton fields in Russia. He would have also to make tour of the Soviet Union but he did refuse.

Donation
Carver donated his entire life savings to the establishment of the Carver Research Foundation at Tuskegee. That money was meant to hep continue research in agriculture.

Death
In 1943 at age 78 Carver sadly passed away. He died by falling down the stairs of his home.
