The first nomination for the Nobel prize
The nomination was for the theory of relativity. It took place in 1910 at the initiative of V. Ostwald.
But the Nobel Committee was suspicious of such a "revolutionary" theory and his experimental evidence was found to be insufficient. -

Receiving the Nobel prize
Einstein won the Nobel prize in physics for his Safe theory of the photoelectric effect. at this time, the brilliant physics was away. Therefore, the award for it was received by German Ambassador in Sweden R. Nadolny. -
The death of Einstein
The cause of death was an aortic aneurysm. Before his death, he asked his relatives not to arrange a lavish funeral for him and not to disclose the place of his burial.
Only twelve closet friends accompanied the great scientist on his last journey. His body was cremated and ashes scattered to the wind
