    George Crampton was born in a textile mill town, he didn't like the work. So he started working on a machine to do it for him. In 1837 Crampton recived his patent.

    Elias Howe worked from 1841 to 1846 on his sewing machine. In 1846 he received a patent. From there he started to mass produce them.

    Richard Hoe is regarded as a mechnical genious. He wanted to come up with a a quicker way to make papers.In 1847 his new design was patented. The machine could produce up to 8,000 sheet per hour printed on one side.

    Around 1840 Linus Sr. started to design a more high-tech lock to secure your doors. Twenty years later in 1862 Linus Jr. introduced the finished product.

    In 1850 Alfred Nobel studies chemistry and worked as in apprentice on a warship. Around 1860 Nobel started to experiment with explosives in his father's old workshop. In 1867 he officially named his complete explosive dynamite. He was also the invwntor of the Nobel Prize.

    Andrew introduced the cable car in 1873. The cable car ran more smoothly than an electric car, which made them more popular. The cars worked best with hills and were a hit in San Fransisco and Seattle.

    Though Waterman didn't initially invent the pen he greatly improved the design and the quality of the pen. From 1884 to 1899 Waterman worked on improving the pen and by the end of 1899 was running a succedful business.

    The dishwasher was invented by Josephine Cochrane. Josephine was a housewife who hated to dishes, so around late 1870, she started to make a machine that would do them for her. In 1886 Josephine got her patent and started producing her machine.

    In 1879 Holland got the idea for an underwater vessel. He started to work on his idea. In 1895 the U.S Navy sent a contract in hoping at that Holland could build them a successful submarine.In 1898 the first completely successful sub was lauched.

    In 1896 Marconi became obsessed with the idea of radio. For the next five years, Marconi would continue to work on a wireless way to transmit broadcasts. In 1901 successfully transmitted a broadcast. He would spend the next twenty years working with his design to improve the send length and the clarity. He would work on his radio until his death.

    William Seward Burrough had a minor education but worked very well with machinery. He began tinkering with a machine that could work for you in hopes of helping with finance. In 1982 the machine was released, but it turned out to be a flop. Later in 1986 the machine was realeased and proved to be a hit.
