No Corrupt Bargain?
With no corrupt bargain in Jackson's way he was destined to be the next president. He was surely to beat the measly John Adams. That is, of course, until that one night he wasn't so sure what to think. -
Thanks for the memories
The flashing of the memories couldn't stop. Peggy or Rachael? What was the difference? Why couldn't he get the frail picture of Rachael who was paler than a ghost still in his mind? Today was the day of the ceremony where he gave ceremony of the speech of how he would obey the constitution He needed her out of his mind. -
Can't stop Won't stop
He was now on his knees crying in agony. He could no longer take these horrible images of his beloved wife. Someone whould have been able to take of her! Why him, of all people? Were his last words as his pistol falls on the blood soaked ground. -
My beliefs on the matter
I believe if hadn't of been for the corrupt bargain to keep Andrew Jackson's ambitions going then he wouldn't of had any motive to try and continue his life. Losing a loved one is hard, and I feel like was already a maniac before he met her, but after she died, it just left as a psychotic person fueled on competetion. John Quincy Adams was a happy comepetitor and that's what I believe kept him alive. Long after he would rage about politics, boasting about how great he was compared to Quincy.
