The Battle Of Lake Erie
The battle began with Great Britain and the United States. The britain were never defeated until the United States finally did. At the begginging of the battle Perry's ship was damaged really bad to the point where he had to transfer ships because it was so bad and Perry fired upon the British to finish then and of coarse the United States won. The united States defeated Great Britain in 1812 -
The Star-Spangled Banner
The Star-Spangled Banner is now the United States national anthem. Its usually sang at sportingevents and gatherings. The song was written by Francis Scott. Francis Scott was a lawyer trying to get a prisonor that the brittish navy took and was trying to get back. During the war there was bombing all night and through everything the flag was still standing. The song was written because of the war and what had happened. -
Jesse James
In Clay County Missouri Jesse was born. he was known for robbing banks and helping the poor people that couldnt afford things. He had also a nickname and it was Robin Hood. He also had an older brother name Frank and they were both famouse for what they did and they had a really big repuation back then. They helped a woman by giving her money to pay her rent and she called a cop and gave the money back and so then they were never found. Jesse Died In 1182 he was shot while adjusting a picture. -
George Eastman
George Eastman made a camra and named it Kodak, it was the first camra to be able to hold by hand and to have film. For 10$ the company would turn the film into pictures. He took photography as a hobby. George Eastman died in 1932 -

She was a woman who devoted her entire life to helping the poor like herself when she was young. She went to school, but she had to drop out because she wasnt in good health. So then she moved to London and she loved it and decided to stay there until she came back to the united states and opened up her rest home for people to come in when they had no where else to go and she tought english as well. she died on May 21, 1935 -
Walter Reed& John Pershing
Both men were born to look for an enemy, not the same one, but an enemy. Walter Reed who was born in 1951 was looking for a deasese named yellow fever and he studied it on all the soldiers that had it, and that it was transmitted by mosqitos. John Purshing who was born in 1917 was in charge of the American army to be orginized and well trained. He was good at it and he got recived ranking General of the armies of the United States. -

William was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. He went with his life to be a famouse short story writter. He decides not to use his real name he'd rather be refered by O;Henry. Porter always had an inteteres in reading and writting even though he had to quit school when he was 15 years old. His most well known short story is names The Gift of the Magi. His writting is known for having surprise endings! O;Henry died in 1910 -
Championship Fight
John L. Sullivan and Jim Corbett were the first male fighters to ever fight under the Queensberry rules in New Orleans Louisiana.Since boxing at the time was so dangerouse they made the rules up in a box because most cases people would end up crippled, seriously injured, or even death was possible. So when these safty rules became available, more people startede to get involved in the sport and it was becoming very popluar and still is. John L. Sullivan was the 1st to ever win! -
Jesse Owens
Jesse Owens was well known for being the fastest human! When Jesse was young he had 3 jobs and went to school, he also trained when he had the time for cross country running and he also had a trainor that would help him. In the summer of 1936, Jesse and 327 other Americans went to the Berlin, Germany olypics games to compete. He won 4 gold medals for 100*meter dash, 200-meter dash, and the 400-meter relay team. The year of 1936 Jesse was known for being th fastest human in the world.
