  • Division of Labor

The Division of Labor, is the idea of splitting jobs into repetitive task. This was actually a brilliant idea, because this increased the productivity of the employees, and skill set. This idea also saved time, and encouraged the idea of developing labor-saving machinery.
  • Bureaucratic Management

    Bureaucratic Management
This theory was based on rules only. The creator of this theory, Max Weber, believed that rules were the main focus of a good business/management. Which is very smart, because rules are very important, because new businesses probably use this theory a lot for standard procedures and structure.
  • Scientific Management

    Scientific Management
This theory is to help increase productivity by making things easier by studying work procedures and to determine the best methods. If you know what's going on in your business, then you can fix the problems, which makes the employees life easier, and work more productive and up to date.
  • Total Quality Management

    Total Quality Management
The idea of this theory is to make sure that every employee must be committed to having high standards of work. This theory helps make employees work proficiency increase, and they're work skills will improve because you would be putting them in an environment where that will challenge your employees.
  • Human Relations

    Human Relations
This is a theory that it is thought that employees worked better, and desired to work in a supportive team environment and with others. This was a plus for management because teamwork builds trust and friendship, people rather work in that type of environment than one they don't feel comfortable in.
  • Monopoly

    Monopoly
This theory is based off of when you're in total control over something like a product or industry. This helps managers and CEOs, because once you're in control of this product, no one else can try and take, which means you would be the only supplier for it, and make a lot of money.
  • Hierarchy of Needs

    Hierarchy of Needs
The Hierarchy of Needs was a plan to make the employees to be heard and have some things to make them happier to work at their job. If you listen to the employees and give them some of their needs they'll be more happier to work and more productive.
  • Theory Y

    Theory Y
This theory explained that, people can find satisfaction in their work. In believing so, this made workers able to make some of their own decisions, and make them feel proud of themselves. This theory is based off of trust, where a manager can let his employee play ping pong and still expect him to get his work done. We all know a famous company that does this, which is called google, and seeing as we all use google, this theory is working really well.
  • Theory X

    Theory X
Theory X is the idea that you think that your employees aren't responsible enough to do work on their own. If you use this theory then your workplace might be in more control, and if you are fully in charge the workplace might be more professional looking/presentable.
  • Contingency Management Theory

    Contingency Management Theory
This theory was based off the knowledge that the effectiveness of leadership was based off of their traits. Which means that the leader would have to be good at reading situations, and need to be able to adapt to situations. If you have an understanding leader, your employees will trust you more, and you will understand them/the situations more.
