Roy overcame his challenges with the mental and emotional side of the health of the triangle by doing several things. He began to express his emotions more appropriately and communicate them better. He also decided to start to try and have a positive outlook on things. -
Roy hopes to imrove his overall health
Roy does improve his overall health. How he did this was by having support and helpful friends he could talk to. He finds it easier to cope with his emotions if he let them out to people. He also dound alternative ways to relax himself. -
Roy is stressed out
Roy is stressed out with summer work and drivers training.He does not have enough time and is stressing and panicking.He gets headaches and his immune system is weakening. He tried to think positively, and just have good outlooks. -
Roy's friends begin drinking on the weekends
Roy is concerned about a lot of things about the effects of alcohol. He is worried about how it can damage his health. He is also concerned about how he can get in trouble with the law. Roy is worried he will get in trouble by his parents and dissapoint his family. Lastly, Roy is also woried that drinking will do something negatively to him in school. -
Roy has a significant death
Roy's dog that he has had for almost his whole life dies. He begins thinking and bargaining for his dog back promising to be with him more. Roy then also becomes very depressed. He just is sad and isolates himself from everyone. -
Roy learns his family has a heart disease problem that he could get so he decideds to eat healthier
Roy now that he is eating healthier is at a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, a stroke, and unhealthy weight gain. -
A family relative of Roy begins smoking again
Roy is worried about some long term damage his relative could get. They could ger chronic bronchitis, coronary heart disease, or even lung cancer. -
Roy's friend tries to drive drunk from a party.
Roy tries to convince his friend not to drive home drunk so he takes their keys. He tells them that it slows their reaction and could cause them to get into a car accident. Also, he tells them that if they get pulled over they could get arrest and get jail time. -
Roy gets sick with the flu for an entire week
Three things Roy did to treat it was, he got a lot of rest, he drank lots of fluids, and he made sure he got the proper nutriention. For next year, Roy is going to make sure to be clean so washing his hands often. He will also get a shot and stay away from other sick people as much as possible. -
Puberty began for Roy
Roy is now able to think more logically. Roy is also learning to develop more his personal values. -
Roy agrees to stay abstinent
Roys parents gave some tips to roy on how to stay abstinent. They told him set some personal limits on how far he goes with females. His parents also told him to avoid situations that he feels pressured into doing something he does not want to do. Finally, They also told Roy that he should practice and use refusal skills. That people cannot tellhim to do something he is uncomfortable doing.
