Around the age of three, Altman’s parents (or parent, he doesn’t remember) bring him and leave him at Rivet City, where he will grow up. -
The Brotherhood of Steel
Altman leaves Rivet City (as a residence) and enlists in the BOS. -
The Pipboy
On a scouting mission with the BOS, Altman discovers the corpse of a vault dweller. Seeing that it won’t use the Pipboy anytime soon, Altman takes it. -
The Battle Against the Enclave
Altman and the BOS defeat the Enclave. -
New Vegas
Altman reaches the Mojave Wasteland after taking up a job as a caravaner and courier. -

Caesar’s Legion is defeated by the NCR and Altman, twice battle-worn, remains in the Mojave for two years. -
Back to the Capital
Altman quickly grows fond of the casinos and plentiful booze, but this eventually becomes melancholic to him. He gathers what he needs, and returns to the Capital Wasteland, where he plans to take a break from his journey for a short while. He arrives this year, 2284. -

A New Wasteland
In early 2285, Altman ventures north, to The Commonwealth, after hearing rumors of “synthetic humans” and “androids”. Later that year, he arrives in The Commonwealth. -
Children of Atom’s Goodbye to Far Harbor
Mysteriously, their base called “The Nucleus” was destroyed by nuclear warheads. Odd.
