    The beginning of Ernst Mach
Ernst Waldfried Josef Wenzel was born on February 18,1838. He was born in Czech Republic. He is known as an Austrian physicist and philosopher. He established the important principles of optic, mechanics and wave dynamics. It has supported the views that all knowledge is conceptual. He was an educated young man till the age of 14 which is when he attended High School for a short amount of time.
  • Mach Education

    Mach Education
At the age of 17 he attended the university if Vienna. In the 1860 he received his doctorate while also teaching mechanics and physics in Vienna until 1864. Soon after he became a professor of mathematics for the university of Graz. This was the time that he had a peak of interest in Psychology and physiology of sensation. He identified himself as a physicist and conducted physical research throughout his career.
  • Sound wave

    Sound wave
In 1873 to 1893 is when he developed optical and photographic techniques for the measurements of sound wave and wave propagation. The principles of the supersonic and Mach numbers were established in 1887 which were the velocity and object to the velocity of sound.
  • Motion

    Motion
The phenomena under scientific investigation can only be understand only in terms of experiences or sensations present in the observation. He advanced the concept that all knowledge is derived from sensation. Mach proposed physical principle known as Mach’s principle. It’s the tendency of the body at rest to remain at rest and of a body in motion to continue in motion in the same direction.
  • The last few years

    The last few years
In 1895 he continues to teach in the university of Vienna. Two years later he suffered a stroke and retired from active researcher in 1901.
