Harry and Basil
The first chapter starts with both Harry and Basil at Hallward's house. They are talking about the picture of a young man called Dorian Gray. -

Dorian Gray
The second chapter strats with Dorian in the livingroom, getting ready to be painted by Basil.
Then Henry is so absorbed by Dorian's beauty that he stars talking to him about youth and aesthetics, while Basil is telling him than Hary is such a bad influence; but Dorian insists for him to stay. -

Dorian's love
Dorian goes to visit Henry, but he wasn't available at that time, so he starts a conversation with Lady Wotton. But then Henry arrives, and they talk about Sibyl, and Henry persuades him to not get married, because he didn't agree with it, still, Dorian is in love with her, and wants to marry the young actress. -

Basil's love is revealed
Henry decides to tell Basil about Dorian's choice, and he gets really mad abour not being the first to know about Dorian's engagement, but he gets worse, when at dinner time the young pretty man talks so lovely about Sibyl, because he does not want to lose him.
