Bachelor of Arts
Dennett received his Bachelor of Arts in philosophy at Harvard University. Following his Bachelors of Arts, he attended Oxford and received his Doctor of Philosophy. His dissertation was entitled "The Mind and the Brain: Introspective Description in the light of Neurological Findings; Intentionally". -
Teaching
Once completed with schooling, Dennett took up teaching at UC Irvine for 6 years from 1965-1971. -

In 1978 Dennett published his first works 'Brainstorms: Philosophical Essays on Mind and Psychology', which focuses on artificial intelligence. He later came to publish 307 additional publications to date. -
Challenges Darwin's Theory of Evolution
In 1995 Dennett publishes 'Darwin's Dangerous Idea: Evolution and the Meanings of Life'. Which came to be a staple in his studies. Awards and Acheivements
He is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, two Guggenheim Fellowships, and a Fellowship at the Center for Advanced Studies in Behavioral Science. He received a Humanist Laureate of the International Academy of Humanism in 2004. He was enlisted in the Freedom From Religion Foundation's Honorary Board of distinguished achievers in 2010 and in 2012 he received the Erasmus Prize.
