God created the world in seven days. on the seventh day, he rested. Day and Night Heaven The sea and dry land The sun, the moon, and the stars Sea creatures and birds Beasts and man God rested

Adam and Eve

4004 BCE

God created Adam and Eve on the sixth day of creation. They ate the forbidden fruit, which cast sin on the world.

Jubal and Tubal Cain

3000 BCE

Jubal and Tubal Cain are very important to history because they show us the intelligence of early man.

Noah's Ark

2349 BCE

Noah's Ark occurred when God flooded the Earth. Only Noah, his wife, their son's, and their son's wife's, were allowed on the boat.

The Sumerians

2300 BCE

The Sumerians lived in Mesopotamia, They were most known for there knowledge and intelligence. They were one of the first people groups to have a written language. They even had hot and cold water, flushing toilet's, laws, and irrigation systems. They created large structures called Ziggurat's, which were made to worship fake god's.

Ice Age

Period: 2300 BCE to 1600 BCE

The Ice Age happened when the world got colder after Noah's Ark. They say that all of the water from Noah's Ark cooled the Earth. It created many major landmarks by cutting into the rocks.

Tower of Babel

2242 BCE

The Tower of Babel was made when a city got greedy and wanted to build a tower to Heaven so that you could go there whenever you want. of course, this is impossible, and when they were in the middle of building it, God changed there language's, so that everyone got confused until they eventually abandoned the city and went to go build new city's with people that spoke the same language as them.

The Epic of Gilgamesh

2000 BCE

The Epic of Gilgamesh was based off of the stories of Noah's Ark and Adam and Eve. It is one of the oldest "books" we have recorded.

Stonehenge

2000 BCE

Stonehenge was made in 2000 B.C. nobody knows who built it, why it was built, and how it was built. It is located in Wilkshire, England. Structures like these are called, "megaliths."

The Minoan Civilization

2000 BCE

The Minoans were very interesting people. There symbol was a bull, and they thought that there was a creature who lived underground n a maze, called a minotaur. This civilization had working toilets, also created the sport of bull jumping, in which you would have to jump over a bull without getting stabbed. They were very artistic, and there are many great art pieces still standing today that they made in their home of Crete.

Abraham

Most of you know about Abraham, but did you know that he was originally from Sumer? Abraham had a very hard life. he slept in tents most of his life and did not have kids until he was 90 years old. He was told to sacrifice his only son, Isaac so that Jesus could test his loyalty to him, and Jesus told him to stop at the last second.

Jacob and Esau

1836 BCE

Jacob and Esau were the grandsons of Abraham. Esau means hairy, because Esau was very hairy when he came out of the womb. Jacob, meaning heel, came out clutching his brothers heel. These two brothers were twins.

Hammurabi

1792 BCE

Hammurabi was the most famous of many Babylonian leaders. Babylonia was located in the Fertile Crescent. Hammurabi made a 7 ft high monument called Hammurabi's code of 300 laws. Hammurabi only worshipped himself.

Joseph

1728 BCE

Joseph was a very interesting man. He was sold by his brothers, framed and put in prison, Interpreted peoples dreams, and worked for Pharoh.

Moses and the Exodus

You've probably heard of Moses before, but did you know that his name means "To Draw Out?" It's funny how that works because Moses drew the Hebrews out of slavery. He also talked to a burning bush sent by God and was found floating on a river in a wicker basket by the Egyptian princess.

The Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle

1491 BCE

The Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant were to very interesting parts of Bible history. They were both created on God's orders during the time of wandering for the Israelites.

Joshua, Jericho, and Rahab

1451 BCE

Joshua was a guy who destroyed Caanans walls with the help of Rahab and God.

Amenhotep IV and Nefertiti

1353 BCE

Amenhotep was the first Egyptian Pharoh to worship one god, instead of many. But that god was still not Jesus. It was a sun god named Aten.

King Tut

1333 BCE

He got the throne at age 8 or 9. He died at age 18 or 19. Howard Carter discovered his tomb.

Rule of Ramses II

Period: 1304 BCE to 1237 BCE

Ramses II was the builder of the largest columned hall ever made by man. He also built a mortuary with 4 massive statues in front of it that were supposed to "guard" it.

The Trojan Horse

1200 BCE

In the battle of Troy, the Spartans supposedly created a giant model of a horse in which they hid inside.Troy thought it was a peace offering and took it inside. Then the Spartans came out and slaughtered everyone.

Gideon

1199 BCE

In the middle of the night gideon and his army surrounded the Midianites and made them run away by blowing horns and screaming.

Samson

1117 BCE

Samson was a man who was born to defeat the Philistines. He was thrown in prison and his eyes were gouged out. one day they took him out of his cell to humiliate him while everybody worshipped an idol. He shoved over a column and him and the whole Philistine army were destroyed.

Samuel

1095 BCE

Samuel was a Judge for the Israelites. when he was a kid God spoke to him. His mentor, Eli knew that Samuel would grow up to be a great man when he heard this news. ANd he did!

King Saul

1095 BCE

Saul was the very first king of Israel. He worshipped God but made lots of mistakes too. Eventually, David took his throne, and Saul spent the rest of his life hunting David. Soon enough he was so angry, that he killed himself.
