Holden was in his dorm kicken back on a saturday night, When stradlater his room mate came in holden asked about his date with jane gallagher. Holden kept asking him all these questions, stradlater soon got fedd up and punched holden. When holdrn got up he decided he needed to leave. He got his things and packed up. It was pretty late. When he got to the door he said "so long ya b*******." He then got on the train to new york. -

Holden's first day out
holden decided he would stay in a crumby hotel till wednsday so his mother could soak up the news that he got kicked out of pencey. when he came into the hotel he notcied everyone was a perv there he got a room and once he went in the room he noticed how bad the rooom was.He started looking out the window towards another hotel. in the first window he saw a man dressing up as a women. In the next window he saw a man and women spitting water on each others faces.He soon realizes he has to leave. -
Later That Night
That night he decided that he would go to an old club his brother d.b. Used to always take him too. It had this very famous pianist who was very popular. When holden finally got in he got this crappy table where he could not see this pianist. He soon runs into this old friend named lillian simmons, one of D.B.s old girlfriends.They chewed the fat for a while. After they finished holden had to leave. -
At The Hotel
Back at the hotel, Maurice the elevator man offers to procure Holden a prostitute. He agrees—got to get in some practice in case he ever gets married, you know. But when Sunny shows up in his room, Holden realizes he's not so much in the mood and he'd rather just talk. Holden's Second Day Out
Holden decides to get a old record for pheobe. after he bought it, He gave sally hayes a buzz and asked if she wanted to see a play. Sally hayes is a friend of holden whos a girl. Holden decides to meet her under the clock at 2:10. When holden hung up he decided he was hungry and was going to go eat something at the train station while he waited for sally to arrive. When he was there he met these two nuns that were next to him. He sparked a good conversation with them. -
Later That Day
When he finished his lovley conversation with these two nuns he did something no one would dare do. he was smoking a ciggerate and he puffed smoke right in there faces. He apologized like a madman. So when he left he was waiting under the clock for old sally he started stereotyping people left and right like always. When she finally ariived they went to the play and went ice skating. Then holden started talking crazy about running away together. Sally began to cry and holden then left. -
Holden's Last Day
Holden decides he needs to go home hes been to clubs and drinking abd smoking. He was broke and was done with his journey. He went home and snuck into his familys apartment to see pheobe. He talked to her for a while then decided to give one of his old teachers a ring. He was welcome over anytime. so he came over and his old english teacher gave him a lecture. Then holden slept on there couch. He woke up late at night to see his english teacher patting his head. -
The Ending
Holden plays with Peobe at the zoo and it finishes. in this novel this charactor holden has many different charactors and emotions. Holdens usual move is sad and depressing. he alwats mocks people and comes up with the craziest of scenerios in his head. one day hes and agent, the next day hes a wood choppin cabin loven woods men. thats what makes holden unique. he thinks much differently then the average human.At that time though, it was frowned apon. -
Holden Ponders
Holden bolts and then walks around until morning basically having a psychotic break where he feels like every time he steps off of a curb he’s going to disappear. His solution? He’ll hitchhike out west and live as a deaf-mute so he doesn't have to listen or talk to anybody. But first he has to go say good-bye to Phoebe.
