Word of Grendel attacks//Call to Adventure
Beowulf hears about the attack towards the Danes, a horrible act done by the monster Grendle. Beowulf has more interest in this event since his father owed a debt (which he passed onto Beowulf) to Hrothgar, as he settled a feud for Ecgtheow. -

Arriving in Daneland// Crossing the threshold
12 winters passed, and Beowulf decides to get a group of men together to defeat Grendle. They stay in Herot, and lay, waiting for the beast to appear. One man is taken, dead within seconds. Beowulf appears, ready to rip Grendle apart, taking his arm, leaving Grendle to take his own refuge within his home under the lake. -

Grendle's mother//Challenges and Trials
After the death of Grendle, as the men are celebrating, a second beast comes. She takes and kills one man, and retreats back to her home under the lake. Beowulf goes alone, sinking in the water for hours. He arrives in the battle hall and begins his fight with the beast. -

The Giant's sword// Special weapon
As he is starting to lose his battle, Beowulf spots a giant sword on the wall of the battle hall. He knows he is the only man that could lift that sword, and that the sword is the only thing that could kill Grendle's mother. He gets to the sword, and with one quick motion, he slices the beast's head off in one clean motion. -

Beowulf's Reign as King// Return Home
This was the time where Beowulf had returned to Geatland and becomes King. -

Final battle// Return home// (Abyss or Temptation??)
50 years pass, and Beowulf has returned to his home and became King of the Geats. A dragon has been terrorizing his land, and Beowulf handpicks another group of men, including his nephew Wiglaf. Beowulf knows he may die during this battle, but persists on, knowing his people need to be saved. -

End // Mastery of two worlds// (Transformation?)
Beowulf begins the battle, but his armor and shield/sword begin to melt, the heat slowly defeating the great Beowulf. Wiglaf stands up, and gives a speech to the men who ran from the battle, telling them they must help their lord. He begins helping his Lord, together defeating the dragon. Beowulf has a brutal wound, meaning he will not live much longer. Wiglaf beings back treasure from the den, sitting with his lord until he is dead. Beowulf accounts Wiglaf as the new king, before dying quietly.
