Benito Pablo Juarez Garcia, or Benito Juarez for short, was born. San Pablo Guelatao is where he was born. He was also born in a small Zapotec Indian village. -
Death of his parents
Benito's parents died. Brigida Garcia was his mother's name and his father’s name was Marcelino Juarez. Brigida had died during childbirth and Marcelino died of complications due to diabetes. They both died when Benito was three years old. -
Family life
When his parents died, Benito and his sister, Rosa, went to live with their grandparents. Though a few years later, his grandparents died. He then went to live with his uncle at age twelve. -

He studied priesthood, for about a year. Then he took on an opportunity for Oaxaca Institute of Arts and Sciences, in 1829. This kicked off a reliable school option for Juarez. -

Juarez got a law degree and won for his first time for public office. Benito Juarez got a seat on the Municipal Council. This kicked off a career to a political life for Juarez, yet he never used his politics for personal gain. -

He was a member of the state and national legislatures. Then he became a judge that same year. He also served as a governor of state. -

Poverty and Banishment
Benito was in New Orleans and was in semi-poverty. He also exchanged ideas with Mexicans and made plans to come back to Mexico. He was in poverty due to the recent liberals being banished from Mexico. -
Presidency had begun
Benito Juarez was finally able to come back to Mexico. Once he got back, shortly afterword, he was elected President of Mexico. There were many problems facing him at the time. For example, the new congress did not trust Juarez, and accusations were still upon Benito. -

Benito Juarez fought for three years against foreign occupation. He did this under the emperor Maximilian. This was one of his biggest accomplishments that made him famous. -
The Mistake
After he got back to Mexico for the second time of being kicked out, he made a huge mistake. Benito issued a call for whether or not congress should make five amendments to the constitution. This immediately created violent reactions and some sympathetic towards Juarez. -
Benito Juarez's Death
Benito Pablo Juarez Garcia died. He died at the age of sixty-six. He passed away due to a heart attack and he was buried in the Pantheon of San Fernando, Mexico City.
