X-Rays are used today almost exclusive in medicine and science. In medicine, they are used to create radiographs, the common black and white images. Radiographs allow one to see inside a patient’s body without surgery. X-Rays are commonly used to look at the bone structures, chests, and abdomens of patients. Medical personnel use radiographs to confirm a fracture or break in a bone or the existence of cancer.
