    This explained the law of gravity and other workings of the universe. This book along with other works of Newton got people really into thinking about science and reason.

    Frederick the great becomes king of Prussia. When he wasnt fighting in wars he was forcing peasents to grow new crops and making government reforms to make himself more powerful. Also in Prussia at this time people could chose their religion as they pleased. This was one of the few highlights of Prussia at the time.

    These encyclopedias were printed from 1751 to 1789. Diderot didnt just get articles about knowledge, he tried to change ways of tradtional thinking by explaining his new ideas on topics like government, and philosophy.
