Justinian and his rule
Ended in 565. Justinian was one of the most famous byzatian rulers and made the most achievments. He expanded the empire and built many new churches and other public buildings. However he also killed many inocent men. This shows change because Justinian was changing the empire and the people within it. -

Unit three shows many examples in change over time because of all the empires rising, falling, and conquering each other. For example, the crusades tried to reconquer the "holy land" but failed. In the process of doing so they borrowed many ideas and products from other civilizations in the west. Everything happened one after another instead of contiuously staying the same. -

Islams Origins
Ended in 613. Islamic beliefs united a very large part of the world under a single idea. Eventually the people united under islam created the arab empire which is why it is an example of change over time. Before muhammad died in 632 leaders in the city of medina saw islam as a threat and started a civil war between supporters of islam and nonsopporters of islam. -

ende in 700. Islams spread to north africa could have been the most influential thing that happens in africa during the classical pweriod. While islam united many statless societies (A society that is organized around kindsip or other forms of obligation) under a common religeon, it also affected the architecture and art and almost every aspect of life in africa. -

First crusade
Ended in 1099. The crusades were enacted by pope Urban the II in order to reconquer some of the holy land that was taken from them by muslims. Ultimately they failed and the land they regained was later conquered by saladin (A strong muslim leader). -

Since the people of europe had knowledge of the past civilizations such as rome, most of thier educational studies were on history until the thirteenth century when sciences started becoming more prominant. This change in acedemics is an example of change over time. -

When the first parliament was created in europe in 1265 and signifigantly changed the government and how it was set up which is how this event showed change. Parialment was section of the government that was supposed to monitor and advise the ruler of that place. Like congress. -

Right before the hundred years war europe introduce the cannon into warfare which dramatically changed the way battles were fought. This shows change because it shows how warfaare can quickly change when new technology is developed. -

Once the turks captured constantinople the byzantine empire ended. This shows change because what was thought to be an unconquerable city was taken and an empire was ended. -
Constantinople and its Conquerers
Constantinople was the capital of the byzantine empire and was very strategically placed for defense. the first time someone tried to conquer it (arabs) they were defeated by the byzantines. this shows change because it shows how military power was developed and how cities were placed strategically.
