Hayao Miyazaki watched Hakujyaden when he was 17. This was his inspirational turning point as it was at this time that he decided that he was going to make a career out of animation. -
TOEI Animation
After graduating he in 1965 created "Sun's Prince Horus's Adventure" with Mr Takahata, Mr Mori and Mr Otsuka. -
Studio Ghibli
In 1984, with the help of Tokma production, Miyzaki released Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. The film was not a smash hit, but made very good profits in the box office. And due to this, Studio Ghibli was formed.
