Haakon the good
The third king of Norway and the youngest of Harald Hairfair sons.
He was brought up in a Christian religion. In his time, he founded the lagthing, similar to our court system today. Also he didn't except large taxes from his people. Haakon got his name for beeing a righteous king for the people. -
Harald Greycloak
The son of Eric Blodaxe, raised and borned in Denmark. He allied with the danish king Harald Bluetooth (also his uncle), and became his vassal king. (sworn loyalty)
In 970, he was tricked into coming to Denmark and killed in Hals in the Limfjord in a plot planned by Sigurd Haakonsson's son Haakon Sigurdsson, who had become an ally of Harold Bluetooth. And thereafter Harold Bluetooth becam king of Norway. -
