    He was born at Smiljam, Croatia. He was born at the stroke of midnight on July 10, 1856, during an electrical storm. His father was Milutin Tesla and his mom Duka Mandici
  • Interested in electricity

    When he was three years old, while stroking his cat's back, the rubbing of his hand produced a shower of sparks, and he wanted to find out why. He asked his father and he explained that it was the same phenomenon that happened in the trees during a storm: electricity. From that moment until the day of his death, Nikola Tesla would dedicate his life to solving that mystery.
  • Tesla was ill

    At 17, Tesla suffered from cholera, and was close to death. He spent up to 9 months bedridden and was close to death on a few occasions. He recovered.
  • Continental Company Edison

    Tesla is in Paris to work for the Continental Edison Company for Thomas Edison to improve and design electrical equipment.
