Early Career/School
Kuhn graduated from Harvard University in 1943. After he studied radar at Harvard and in Europe. Just 3 years after his graduation he obtained his master's degree in physics, and 3 years after that he obtained his doctorate in physics as well. In 1956 Kuhn moved to California where he persued his interest in the history of science. He became a professory at the University of California which allowed him to really look into the philosophy of Science. This is where his career would take off. -
Kuhn's History with Science
Kuhn wasn't alwats a philosopher of science, his history with science is quite extensive. He was also studying physics and astronomy, one of his first books focused on the copernican revolution in planetary astronomy in 1957. -
"The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" by Thomas Kuhn
While working at the University of California Thomas Kuhn really started focusing on the philosophy of science. One of his fellow professors introduced him to Ludwig Wittgenstein and Paul Feyerabend. Ludwig was an Austrian philosopher who focused on topics such as logic, philosophy of math/mind/language. Paul Feyerabend was a philosopher as well who focused on topics such as Empiricism and Relativisim. Kuhn and Feyerabend even went over a draft of Thomas' book in 1962.
