    When Bellamy arrived in Provincetown, eleven Spanish ships loaded with tons of gold and silver sank off the coast of Florida in a hurricane. There was their golden chance. Williams promised Bellamy that he would lend him the money to buy a ship and hire a crew to make the dream a reality.

    Bellamy got his wish. To Bellamy's delight, the Sultana was the type of ship that he was looking for to replace Marianne as his flagship. Just a day after taking command of his new flagship, he and LeBous, with Williams and the Marianne also operating in the vicinity, captured a merchant ship out of Bristol, England, called the St. Micheal.

    The Whydah is a ship that is full of valuable stuff. The Whydah belongs to Captain Lawrence Prince. The Whydah was built in 1715 for Sir Humphry Morice. It took Bellamy´s vessel three full days of sailing as fast as it could through the waters between Cuba and Hispaniola, known as the Windward Passage, to catch up with Captain Prince ´ s expertly piloted ship. Bellamy had already ordered that hius personal pirate flag be raised.

    The Whydah´s lookout spotted the merchant ship Agnes, bound from Barbados to Virginia. After Bellamy and his crew overtook the merchant vessel, they forced it to surrender and boarded it.

    Whatever his reason for aiming for the Cape, his voyage was interrupted early on April 24, 1717. As he was passing the island of Nantucket, just south of Cape Cod, a new member spotted a merchant ship off in the distance.

Noland, according to Daniel Defoe, lived out the rest of his life as a model citizen and died peacefully, something extremely rare for someone who had spent most of his life on the account. After spending time with his mother, sister, and neice on Block Island, Williams sailed to the spot in Maine where he and Bellamy had agreed to meet.
