    BANG! Something hard hit the roof. Joey was frightened as he realised he may not be alone in the house.

    Joey sat still, his heart beating fast. He did not want to show he was so scared and tried to calm down. He try to laugh at how silly he was - surely, he was imagining things.

    He prepared a cup of coffee and tried to continue reading as he had been doing. Suddenly, the lights went out and he was covered in darkness, the same darkness as in the story.

    While he was trying the lights to see if they could come back, through the window, he saw something passed outside. It was so fast that he couldn't see clearly. He decided to go out and check.

    As he approached the door, he held the book more tightly. If necessary, he would hit whoever was there with it.

    It was a very bad night to be outside. It was still raining hard and there were no lights anywhere. Joey couldn't see a thing. "Hello," he said, ready to attack.
