Bastian is a boy who is sad about the death of his mother and suffers from bullying and is fat because of this one day he goes to a bookstore and steals a book called the endless story which reads it in the school's desvan

Fantasy in danger

Meeting in the Haule Forest with infamous news: Nothing is covering everything. In the Ivory Tower, all the doctors of the kingdom are gathered, because the Infant Empress has fallen ill. Caíron is sent by the Empress in search of Atreyu who must find the cure for the Empress.

Atreyu's appeal

After a long trip Caíron arrives at the tribe of the green skins where Atreyu lives, he accepts the mission and undertakes the Great Search, he must find the cure for the Empress and therefore, of all Fantasia.

The ancient Morla

Atreyu looks for Morla, one of the oldest creatures of Fantasia, but in the Swamp of Sadness he loses his horse Artax who sinks without remedy in it. Atreyu finds Morla who tells him that the only one who can give him answers is Uyulala, but this one is in a very distant place: The Oracle of the South.

The two settlers

Atreyu wakes up in a strange place, with Fujur. A couple of gnomes called Enguivuck and Urgl help him and heal him, informing him that he has reached the Oracle of the South.

The three magic doors

To speak with Uyulala you must go through three doors, the first is that of the Great Enigma guarded by a pair of Sphinxes; the second is that of the Magic Mirror that shows a reflection of the real self of the person trying to cross. Atreyu sees his reflection: Bastian, and loses his memory. The third is the Keyless Door, when it crosses it is in the Palace of the Deep Mystery

The voice of silence

Uyulala is only one voice, who talks with Atreyu, so he finds out that the cure for the empress is to receive a new name that can only be given by a human. This will also prevent the ruin of Fantasia. Atreyu falls asleep leaning on a pillar.

The flight to the Ivory Tower

Fujur and Atreyu fly to the Ivory Tower, while nothingness is about to consume everything. Upon arriving, Atreyu climbs up to the Magnolia Pavilion where he meets the Empress, who informs him that his mission is over, they found the Savior of Fantasia: Bastián.

The Children's Empress

Bastian must save Fantasia by giving the Empress a new name, a name he already knows, but does not pronounce. The Empress decides to press him and goes to look for the Wandering Old Man.

The old man of the Wandering Mountain

The Empress finds the old man, who writes everything that happens in The Endless Story. The Empress asks me to tell her the Story, with which to enter an eternal return, Bastian stops him pronounced out loud the new name of the Empress. A great explosion occurs.

Perelín, the night jungle

After the explosion, Bastián is in a dark place where there is nothing, except for the Infant Empress who informs him that Fantasia has disappeared, except a grain of sand that gives Bastián, this gift becomes a seed from which a large jungle of multicolored flowers emerges. Bastián, in turn, becomes a handsome boy carrying the AURYN.

The battle of the Ivory Tower

Using the Guemmal Bastián belt, he learns that Atreyu has decided to remove the Alhaja, so he captures it with Fújur and banishes them in front of everyone. He continues with the others until he reaches the Ivory Tower, the Empress is not there and Bastian cannot climb the Magnolia Pavilion. Xayide organizes the coronation of Bastián as a new Emperor and on the same day Atreyu and Fújur together with a small army attack the Tower which is reduced to ashes.

The city of the Ancient Emperors

Bastian chases Atreyu to avenge himself for not letting him be crowned emperor; Arrives in the City of the Ancient Emperors, who are crazy. Árgax guides him through the city explaining that only a wish can return him to his world if he does not want to stay there with the other "emperors" Bastián resumed the road and reaches the Sea of Mist where he meets the Yskalnari

The mine of images

Bastián arrives at the Minroud well: the mine of images. You must find an image that reminds you of your world and manage to drink from the Water of Life. Bastián works in the darkness of the mine until one day he finds an image that shows his father, despite transporting it with great care, when attacked by the Schlabuffos, the image is broken. Atreyu and Fújur appear to help him.

To the waters of life

When Bastián voluntarily strips himself of ÁURYN, he shines and then meets together with Atreyu and Fújur in a large hall, where surrounded by two immense snakes is the source of the Water of Life. Atreyu is responsible for fulfilling all the stories that Bastián left unfinished for him to return home taking with him the Water of Life to his father.
