He was the first to demonstrate that there is no fixed age. In the experiment, they placed a piece of meat in three containers and covered it with different ingredients. The first container has no lid, the second container is airtight, and the third container has a cloth mesh. Through this experiment he demonstrated that meat could not produce maggots. -
John Needham
Needham said that just a generation earlier he had confirmed his theory and performed an experiment in which he heated broth in a boiling pot, killing bacteria, then placed it in a bottle, where the broth settled and was then released. He waited a moment and saw a creature in the sticky water. He finally came to the conclusion that the spontaneous generation of energy was real. -
Lazzaro Spallanzani
He conducted an experiment to prove the correctness of the theory of spontaneous generation. In his experiment, he boiled two separate flasks for a long time, immediately closing one flask and leaving the second flask exposed to air. Microorganisms grow in open flasks but not in closed flasks. Would this ultimately refute the theory of spontaneous generation? Unfortunately this didn't happen. -
Louis Pasteur
Louis Pasteur was a French chemist, physicist, mathematician and bacteriologist.
He made many important discoveries, such as pasteurization experiments. In 1859, he conducted an experiment demonstrating that boiling a nutrient broth did not spontaneously generate new life. In doing so, he refuted the theory of spontaneous generation.
