European explorers arrived in North America. Near Sqantos home town. And ran right into himself his tribe. -
Making Friends
The explorers and Squanto made friends. They even offered him to come back to England. he knew that it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. So he accepted. -
Learning New Things On The Way
Squanto learned they explorer's language and culture. And helped them with dealing with other Indians. Making him a key role in the exploration. -
Captured
After a while Squanto had returned from his visit back to North America. He was out of nowhere captured by English explorers. He was sent to slavery. In Spain under there control. -
The Great Escape
After little time in Spain, Squanto made his way out. He escaped from slavery. He traveled back to England. Later learning more English from an important man named John Slaney. -
Squanto's interesting facts
-His born name was Tisquantum
-He attended the very first Thanksgiving
-He taught many things to colonists including putting dead fish in your soil to make it fertile.
-Helped the well known pilgrims survived by also teaching them things and giving food. -
Help From Slaney
After being with Slaney for a little while. Slaney decided to take Squanto back to North America. Squanto hopes to meet back with his old tribe. -
Settling
Finally, they made it to North America. Squanto had to say goodbye to Slaney and hello to his new tribe in Plymouth. Craving to find his old tribe. -
Helping A Friend In Need
Surprisingly there was another group of people with Squanto's tribe. The pilgrims, their whole group was struggling to survive. So Squanto's tribe helped them out and taught them some basic survival tactics. -
Old Tribe
When Squanto was in England his home he missed his home tribe patuxet. Unfortunately they suffered a terrible smallpox plague. There were only a few left. -
The First Thanksgiving
Squanto later in life met with the well set up pilgrims for a celebration. They both said there thank you's and finished the celebration with a feast. Which will later be called Thanksgiving.
