    De Vaca was a Spanish explorer who went on the Florida expedition but him and his men shipwrecked on Galveston Island he later met the Karankawa natives they treated him nicely and nursed them back to health he was put later on trial eight years later for fighting for their rights.The first part of the journey he had a leader Nueva they landed in Florida there boats sank so they built new ones.
