The original leader was Narvez. The purpose of the expedition was to search for gold in Flordia, but there were several storms and landed in what now is Galveston. -

There ships were in a storm while trying to get to Flordia so they landed in Galveston. They were in Texas for 8 years. While they were there they discovered the Karankawas, Couhuiltecans, and the Jumanos. He was the first person to give surgery in Texas.. He explored Flordia, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Mexico City. -

The purpose of this journey was to study NorthTexas and vertify the 7 cities of gold. They explored Texas and New Mexico. They reported that they saw a city filled with gold and bigger than Mexico City. -

The leader of the group was De Soto.They were trying to find gold.On the way De Soto died and they put him in the Mississippi River.They gave the same report as Cornado and would not go back for another 150 years because of the report. -

He went to find the 7 cities of gold.He found the City Cibola and Quivera.He discovered The Palo Duro Canyon and the Grand Canyon.He found no gold at all. The importance of his journey was if the 7 cities were accutally true and that they had gold.
