After Scott had left the hospital, Scott had died but gave Scott a box of some of his books since they became good friends in the hospital. He made fun of Vernon and his teamates and they were mad. Acott figured this wou,d happen, so he left school early to try to escape the pain the Vernon and his friends would give him. (Lubar 181)
