First time Billy jumps through time.
Billy first jumps through time in 1944 in a forest during the war. He went to 1965 where he was 41, rich, with two children and a wife. He was visiting his mother in a nursing home, and her death. Then he goes to 1958 where he was at a banquet for his son's Little League team. All these events flash forward to Billy's future. The readers get a sense of who Billy is and what it means to "see the future" -
The death of Weary
Ronald Weary was Billy's war companion, they both got captured and brought in box cars. They got separated, Weary died in the box car. -
Bombing of Dresden
Billy was in Dresden the time it was bombed. He was being held prisoner in a meat locker with a couple other prisoners and a couple guards. Billy and the others heard the bombings from below, when it was done and they surfaced, no one was alive, everyone was dead. -
The dog
Billy met a guy in the war, Lazaro, who always gets revenge, and someday he will have revenge on Billy. One time a dog bit Lazaro, and he needed to get revenge. So he took a piece of steak, put sharp springs in it, gave it to the dog, and watched it bleed out. -
Billy gets abducted by Tralfamadores
Billy is in a box car when he falls asleep and travels to 1967 to his daughters wedding night and the night he gets abducted. He is 44 laying in his bed next to his wife, Valencia. Billy got out of bed and went downstairs knowing he is going to be abducted soon. When the saucer arrived, he describes it to have purple lights coming from the portholes. It hovered over Billy and enclosed him, he was paralyzed by a zap gun, he was thrown into the air lock. -
Billy jumps through time to 1967
In 1967 Billy is an eye doctor, he is speaking to his patient about getting a pair of glasses, meanwhile he is tying hard not to fall asleep. He is on his way home from work, he drives through a town that he say looks like the war in Dresden. With burnt down buildings and crushed curbs. He goes home to an empty house. We learn he has to nap once a day told by a doctor. He falls asleep weeping, and wakes up weeping at the war. -
Valencia's death
Billy was in a plane crash, he was sent to a hospital where he was expected to die. His wife, hearing the information, got in the car and was driving fast and crying trying to get to the hospital. She missed the turn she had to take and slammed on her breaks causing someone to hit her car. No one died, yet. Still aware of her husbands condition, she sped off with out the exhaust filter in her car. By the time she got to the hospital she was unconscious, and pronounced dead an hour later. -
The Plane Crash
In 1968 Billy and his father in-law were both on an airplane headed to a convention, when the plane crashed on sugarbush mountain. No one survived, besides Billy who only suffered from a Fractured skull and was taken to a hospital expected to die or become brain dead, but he didn't. -
The death of Billy
The death of Billy was really short and little described. He was in Chicago giving a speech about his death due to a bombing. But as he was leaving the convention he was shot. By Lazaro. -
The alien zoo
After Billy was captured by the Tralfadorians, he was brought in a in closed "zoo". He was in a made up environment to look like he was on earth. He watched as the aliens would come by and look and stare at everything that he would do.
