The first manufactured skateboards were ordered by a surfshop the shop owner made a deal with the chicago roller skate company to produce sets of skate wheels which they attached to square wooden boards

professionel skateboarder Tony Hawk was born on May 12,1968 he received a skateboard from his big brother when he was nine that gift changed his life and gave him an outlet for all his energy. By the age of 12 he got his first sponsor, Dogtown skateboards. two years later he became a professionel skater and has won more than seventy skateboarding contest. Hawk started his own skateboarding company called Birdhouse where you can buy some and clothes and also get stickers to your gear.
