He gives him the beetle, which is attached to a rope, to Jupiter, then makes Jupiter go up and find the skull there. So in response Valdemar’s mouth and eyes opened to form a horrible vision, and his body no longer appears alive, bit his tongue keep moving. With a rough, broken voice, Valdemar says he was sleeping but now he’s dead.
