Suitors/ Home
Odysseus is finally on his way home from overcoming many obstacles throughout his journey. He is just wanting to be home to his wife Penelope who he hadn’t seen in 20 years. To his knowledge, he comes home and finds out that suitors have invaded his home and is trying to take his hands wife to marriage. He kills the suitors, but the most valuable thing he killed was his love between him and his wife. Odysseus being gone for 20 years and coming back,she’s clearly confused because it’s unexpected. -

Odysseus finally made it home but he had to endure not being welcomed because of his appearance and his actions. It’s unwanted to ever be rejected because you haven’t seen family in 20 years. He was rejected for moments but then found that love had to be restored -

Helios Cattle
The gods cattle is killed by Eurylochus and Odysseus men . He angrily asked the other gods to punish Odysseus for his doing. This was the time when they knew not what they were going to do. They thought they were going to die and Eurylochus offered the cattle up for dinner so they wouldn’t die of hunger. It wasn’t Odysseus doing but, the consequences fell upon him because he was head of the crew. The men that Odysseus guided had broken an oath and ate the cattle. Sadly, Odysseus had to suffer. -

Odysseus learned that he could not trust everybody that was on his side. His men betrayed him by breaking this oath that he had set in place to make sure the gods cattle wouldn’t get eaten. His men failed to listen and therefore Odysseus had to suffer -

Scylla and Charybdis P.2
Of course Odysseus and his men are scared, but Odysseus being the man of pride he was, he would fight to earn the to have the pride. While Odysseus is going through this journey he basically runs into this tsunami and it takes his men out of actio, but yet he moves on with his pride. -

Scylla and Charybdis
Odysseus and his men finally past the Sirens’ island. His men navigate the predicament to
Scylla and Charybdis. Syclla is a six-headed monster who shows the evil side by swallowing at least one poor sailor from each ship. Charybdis is a big natural disaster (whirlpool) who somehow intimidates the men on the ship into thinking that it’s going to swallow them. Odysseus loses at least six of men which brings him down to a lowered number because in the previous stories he lost men.
