    Jan van eyck was born in 1395 in Maaseik. He was known for perfecting the techniques of oil painting. He grew the popularity of the practice and spread it. His technique impacted the world creating many beautiful pieces up till recent time. Known as the father of oil painting. Jan van eyck died in 1441 the same year he brought oil painting to life. Oil painting is still practiced today, without him we wouldn't be as far as we are today in the scene of oil art.

    Nicolaus Copernicus was born in Poland in 1473. Copernicus made a model of the unviverse with sun in the middle. He found out that every planet revolved around the sun. Between 1507 and 1515 he promoted the heliocentric astronomy. He opened many peoples minds and shocked many. With proper evidence he found valuable facts that helps us with science to this day. Nicolaus was a mathematician and a astrosmist. He died in 1543 in Poland.

    Nicholas Krebs invented the concave lens in 1451. Nicholas was born in 1401 in Germany and made discoveries in astronomy. Krebs goal was to treat near sightedness. This invention impacted the world greatly, providing a solution for those who couldn't see up close. He made the lens thinner in the middle and thicker on the rims. Krebs passed away more than a decade later in 1464. Today glasses are widely improvised, and without his work, we would likely not be as far as we are.

    Johannes was born in the 14th century in Germany. Gutenberg was a craftsman and inventor, he invented the printing press. In 1440 he studied and experimented printing in France. He returned to Germany and had a printing press ready to release for commercial purposes. The Gutenberg press had a big impact on history and became the father of modern printing. His invention was passed on and people made adjustments to what we have today.

    Baldassare castiglione was born on December 6, 1478 in Casatico, Italy. Castiglione was an Italian courtier,soldier, diplomat, and a prominent Renaissance author. He was best known for his Dialogue called “The book of the Courtier.” He came out with the book in 1528, but shortly died a year later. His book impacted everyone and showed the ideal Italian Courtier. He also tried spreading humanism of Italy to England and France. Now this information is super valuable to understanding history.

His art showed a lot of emotion and connected the viewer to the every painting. Every painting had plenty of detail that showed what life was like. He died April 6 in 1520 in Italy. His amazing skills help many artists today, and historians to understand what it was like during that era. The paintings held a big connection to those that viewed.
