He saw that nothing good could be done with machinery as it stood. he saw how bad and hard factories were and he wanted to do better than they are and improve theirs.He made a better design and changed it as needed. he came up with the first successful water-powered roller spinning textile mill in America. Slater and Brown opened their first factory in Pawtucket. -

It advanced our technology improving the way the factories where befor. the think is that the more cottom is croduced the more slaves we need.
